Our Counties Profiles
Infrastructure has been, and continues to be, one of the biggest issues when it comes to tackling the digital divide. WestNGN has spent a great deal of time working to help close these gaps in the infrastructure map, collaborating with our partners in federal and state governments, as well as with local providers.
What is Connection?
Understanding what connectivity means is important in helping to build connections and close the divide in the region. WestNGN looks to help both unserved and underserved communities in our region. Unserved are communities that lack access to the federal minimums for connectivity speeds, which are 25 Mbps which are 25 Mbps up and 3 Mbps down. An underserved community meets federal minimums but is still using older contention technology, such as DSL.
